About Rochelle Newman:

Rochelle Newman-Carrasco has spent the past 28 years specializing in US Hispanic marketing and is considered to be an industry pioneer and subject expert.  Over the past 15 years, she has headed up Enlace Communications, Inc. and provided strategic and creative services to clients, big and small, in industry sectors that include fast food, financial, hospitals, automotive, department stores and other retail, to name just a few.

Prior to co-founding L.A. based Enlace Communications, Inc., Rochelle was President of FoVa-West, part of Grey Advertising’s Hispanic marketing division. During her career, she has contributed to the development and success of culturally attuned strategies for some of the nation’s top marketers, including Procter & Gamble, General Foods, Bank of America, Warner Bros, Macy’s and Jack in the Box to name a few.

Ms. Newman has guest lectured at U.C. Berkeley and The Peter Drucker School of Business Management. She has also served on several Boards of Directors including the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA), The Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA), and the Los Angeles Association of Advertising Agencies (LAAAA). She is currently a contributor to Advertising Age’s ‘Big Tent’ blog, which features some of the leading voices in multicultural marketing today.

Ms. Newman-Carrasco is also an award winning playwright, stand-up comic and freelance writer and performer.  She is the creator of the one woman show “Hip Bones and Cool Whip,” which was performed in Los Angeles to positive reviews by the LA Times and LA Weekly.
